The EPP-CoR group organised an EPP Local Dialogue held in Stylida under the theme “Bridging Gaps, Building the Future Together” brining together a diverse group of stakeholders to discuss how to strengthen partnerships and promote sustainable development. Organized in cooperation with Nikolaos Karapanos, Municipal Councillor, Municipality of the Holy City of Messologhi and EPP-CoR members, the event featured representatives of the state, local authorities, businesses, organizations, NGOs, and citizens.
The dialogue saw the participation of by high-level participants, including Niki Kerameos, Minister of Labor & Social Security, Christos Staikouras, Minister of Infrastructure & Transport, and Ioannis Apostolou, Mayor of Stylida, along with other regional leaders, business representatives, and young students from the Musical School of Stylida.
Focus on Cooperation and Sustainability
The discussions centered on reducing inequalities between urban and rural areas, promoting innovation, and ensuring sustainability. Participants shared ideas on enhancing digital access in rural regions, fostering a circular economy, and empowering youth and vulnerable groups.
During the business panel, corporate leaders presented practical strategies to address local and regional challenges, while representatives of local government and associations emphasized the importance of community-driven solutions.
