Following elections held during the extraordinary meeting on 31st January, 2025 and its first ordinary meeting held on 19th March 2025; the European People’s Party Group in the European Committee of the Regions (EPP-CoR) is pleased to announce its new leadership team for the 2025-2030 mandate. The newly elected presidency will steer the group's political vision and priorities, advocating for stronger regions and municipalities across the European Union.

New EPP-CoR Leadership
• President: Sari Rautio (Member of the Hämeenlinna City Council, Finland)
• 1st Vice President: Nikolaos Chardalias (President of Attica Region, Greece)

Vice Presidents:
• Fernando López Miras (President of the Region of Murcia, Spain)
• Eleni Loucaidou (Deputy Mayor of Nicosia, Cyprus)
• Hanna Zdanowska (Mayor of Łódź, Poland)
• Eric Beißwenger (State Minister for European and International Relations, Bavarian State Government, Germany)
• Franck Proust (President of Nîmes Métropole, France)
• Tanya Hristova (Mayor of Gabrovo, Bulgaria)
• Ricardo Rio (Mayor of Braga, Portugal)
• Carmen Kiefer (Member of the municipal council of Kuchl, Austria)

The new presidency will focus on strengthening local and regional governance, promoting economic growth and competitiveness, and addressing key challenges such as the green and digital transitions, demographic change, and social cohesion. Under the leadership of President Sari Rautio, the EPP-CoR will continue to champion policies that empower regional and local authorities to shape the future of Europe.
