"EPP-led villages, cities and regions are playing an active role already to reach the Green Deal targets. Today I am honoured to launch a publication with projects completed by our members to ensure sustainability and to help fulfil the Sustainable Development Goals which are a key priority for the EU." Olgierd Geblewicz, President of EPP-CoR Group, President of West Pomeranian Region and President of the Union of the Regions of the Republic of Poland made these remarks during a virtual EPP local dialogue on the Green Deal organised as part of the European week of regions and cities.

The projects include conversion of buildings to become energy efficient, creation of green areas in urban cities, recycling of plastic, adaptation of budgets to fulfil sustainability goals, promotion of sustainable tourism, generation of green jobs, environmental monitoring and sustainable mobility.
Geblewicz thanked all members who shared projects promoting sustainability. The EPP-CoR will be issuing more publications to share all these success stories from EPP-led villages, cities and regions in the following months.
